Snowy Egret in Forest Park

It was a beautiful day for a bicycle ride or I guess that you could say that I am only working part-time from now on. I’m burning off all of that soon to be useless sick leave and vacation time and besides it was a great weather day today. I worked this morning and then took the afternoon off and then Anne and I went out for lunch via bike. Lona’s Lil Eats is a new to us Asian fusion style restaurant in the Fox Park neighborhood of Saint Louis. It is on California. Lona’s is home to the giant rice paper wrap, think burrito sized spring rolls. We split their Thai chicken wrap and had a side of spicy cucumbers. It was all good. On the way back home, we did a turn over the board walks in eastern Forest Park, where a family, a mom and her two sons were fishing. They had found a giant bullfrog tadpole. It was easily 8” long. Seeing it has led me to revise my opinion of what I photographed a little blue heron eating last week. It was not a fish as I had reported, but another one of these giant bull frog tadpoles.
