Sea Otter with Sea Urchin Meal

Sunday morning, we did errands with Dad and then in the afternoon Chris joined us and we all drove down to Big Sur for dinner at Nepenthe. Coastal One was super busy, busier than I’ve ever seen it and I was afraid that we would be shutout at Nepenthe’s, but the wait was a modest 30 minutes. On the way back north, the rain rolled in, concluding our coastal adventure. Monday, Anne and I were on our own, Chris had to work and Dad had other business to attend to. We headed to Point Lobos, where we saw all sorts of wildlife, like this otter. The surf was pretty wild. Afterwards, we headed to Carmel for lunch. We almost made it back to the car before the rain started.
