The Baby Björn Bouncer

Baby Björn Bouncer

Its spring loaded! The Baby Björn Bouncer will gently rock your baby asleep, but in time of war, it can also double as a catapult. Capable of hurling stones at attacking barbarians or when all else is lost, simply flinging your baby over the castle wall to safety. Simply release the safety belt and then detach the Googly eyes, which come in wonderful colors, with fun features to stimulate baby’s natural playfulness. This toy is easy for any adult to detach and remove. Once this is accomplished, let that baby fly! Retailing for $200+ mucho dineros, it is best acquired as a hand-me-down, as Maren did. It is très haute boogie.

Flight to Boston

Planted Rows of Clouds

There was no Kristi Noem yelling from the telly that the long lines at TSA were caused by the Democrats shutting down the government, because there were no lines at all at TSA. Our flight to Boston was delayed an hour, but not because air traffic controllers had all called in sick. Logan was socked in. We had a total instrument landing. Dave picked us up and whisked us home. The pictured clouds were from earlier in our flight, before the nor’easter coalesced into a solid wall of grey over Beantown. Both boys are giants! Declan is two now but wears three sized clothes and is about to jump to four. Tiny Wyatt is only three months now, but he is already significantly bigger than Declan was at that age. Everyone was happy to see us and we them.

Happy Indigenous Peoples Day!

Sioux Bear Claw Necklace

Today is Columbus Day, a holiday commemorating the “discovery” of the New World by Christopher Columbus in 1492. A federal holiday that I never got. Today, with the government shutdown still droning on, now for almost two weeks, fewer people still get it off this year as a paid holiday. In truth, observation of Columbus Day has been declining for some years now. A dozen states do not observe it anymore. Even Columbus, Ohio doesn’t. Saint Louis has removed its Columbus statue, but it’s empty pedestal remains.
