Monterey Surfers

Dan arrived late at night. We went to the aquarium the next day and then later, we celebrated Chris ‘s birthday. It was another beautiful day here in paradise, warm and sunny, almost hot, in its center and then cool around the edges at dusk and dawn. I cleaned my glasses by first blowing on them and then licking them and could taste the previous day’s salt spray.

I’m surprised by how many sea otters that we’ve seen this year. They’re everywhere. They’re in the marina, along cannery row, we even saw a few floating way out to sea in the middle on Monterey Bay. I’m glad that they are doing so well.
