Orchid Show

Another day, another record high temperature here in Saint Louis today, 76 ºF this time. Anne and I rode through Forest Park, which was as expected mobbed and then on to Tower Grove Park. We had lunch at a new place to us, Stella Blues on Morganford. Stella is your basic Saint Louis neighborhood bar. Lunch consisted of Korean pork pot stickers (Yummy!), garlic bread and beer, not exactly a balanced diet, but still good food. On the way home, we stopped off at the Botanical Gardens and saw the Orchid Show. Normally, this annual flower show is like a breath of Spring in the middle of an otherwise bleak winter. Not so much this year, Anne saw crocuses blooming in Tower Grove, but it is still a nice show and the flowers are pretty to look at.
