We’ve all seen our fair share of silly cat videos, but still they remain a popular Internet meme. Now for something completely different, “Exploding Kittens” is a humorous card game that is probably best enjoyed while drinking, but before it was “a card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats”, it was a Kickstarter and a very successful one at that, raising almost $9M. “Exploding Kittens” is the creation of Elan Lee, creator of the online comic “The Oatmeal”. If you checkout this instructional video for the game, you will notice a striking similarity between the card game’s illustrations and that of the web comic’s. I only raise this rather obscure subject, because today one of my coworkers brought into work a copy of this card game and gameplay soon erupted in the conference room. I could make a comment about how the rot has set in at work, since only last week, but probably a better comment would be, when the cat is away…
