Anthony (Alice) and Cleopatra (Chris) are visiting us. I better not make an asp of myself. After a lunch at Carl’s Deli, we met Chris at the slammer, where he used to work as an art restorer. This was many years ago, but with the addition of the new wing, a couple of the pieces that he worked on are now on display. He is pictured with Anne in front of two enormous and very intricate renaissance Spanish-Moorish doors that he once took apart, cleaned with Q-tips, un-warped and then had to put back together again. We had walked to the art museum and Chris had gotten a ride there, so after touring the Bingham exhibit again and selective other works, we all walked across Forest Park to the Chase Park Plaza, where they are staying. We saw Hal Holbrook in the lobby, he is in town doing his Mark Twain shtick at the Touhill. We had drinks by the pool until Alice got off work. It was hot enough for a swim, but the pool was not yet open. Then it was time for a lovely dinner at Little Saigon. We used to go there all the time. It was nice to visit it again, with old friends. After dinner we took Metrolink home.
