Anne took this picture of a Luna moth, while stopping for a little something at the Bear’s Den ice cream parlor, on six-mile road. Actias luna, commonly known as the Luna Moth, is a lime-green, Nearctic Saturniid moth. It has a wingspan of 4.5 inches, making it one of the largest moths in North America. She also saw a sedge (look it up) of seven Sandhill cranes, but the moth was the better photograph. She saw these sights while biking around Chippewa County.
