I bet you thought that I had completely forgotten to do any my usual end-of-year retrospectives. Well, you are not that lucky. Not all of these pictures were taken by me, but that does not prevent me from appreciating them. Guess what, none of these photos were taken in Saint Louis. We were out-of-town so much this year that that is just the way things shook out.
First, we have Maren and Declan at the Boston Aquarium, being visited by a giant sea turtle. Dan and Dave are seen playing Santa’s elves on Christmas eve. We saw a roadrunner in our motel’s parking lot in New Mexico on one of our cross-country jaunts. Anne and her sisters are enjoying beers in Ann Arbor.

Second to Saint Louis, we spent the most time in Monterey, followed by the cabin and then back east. We also manage to do some regular tourist things too. Maybe because where we were at such prime tourist destinations. Pictured here is a big fat tom-turkey in Monterey. Enjoying a sunny day on the beach at the cabin. My Bros sporting their alma mater’s UTA headgear. And Anne riding the “T” towards downtown Boston. Did she ever return? No, she never returned and her fate is still unlearned.

We have Wyatt bouncing up a storm. And the scene where last night the ball was dropped in Times Square, but in warmer climes. A younger version of my dad, in Ann Arbor, sitting at his desk. The same desk that I now have and wrote this post on. Finally, a harbor seal with her pup along the coast of Monterey.
beautiful choices
Thank you!
I like the sea turtle because they seem to be having a connection. But also the road runner looking as though they are checking for traffic
It was checking on me.
