Ruffled Feathers

The tom that we saw and photographed from a distance has been busy. About twenty turkeys passed through the yard early this morning, most of them young. Today is Flora’s cleaning day, which always is a disruption, but the house looks so nice afterwards. We fled as is our want and had breakfast in Carmel at Katy’s. Afterwards, we went to a day at the beach in Asilomar, but it was cold and foggy, and we did not stay long. Returning home, we spelled Chris, who then took off for a long weekend in the gold country, where he plans to do some house hunting. After Flora finished cleaning and left, we both took a much-needed nap. Last night was a sleepless night. We had a full moon shining all night, not hampered by fog. My gut was bothering me due to my weight loss medicine, and I had anxiety over inheritance money. Not a good combination. I have been so focused on selling the house that I have neglected my other trustee duties. I was called on this in a pugnacious way. Today, I think that I was able to smooth ruffled feathers and mollify people, at least until next week. I got up early today and filled out the transfer forms twice. Once to one brother’s specifications and then again to the others. Anyway, the money will flow.
