Maren and David picked up their new car. It is a Toyota and a hybrid but is bigger than a RAV4. Bigger for a growing family. Since they either already are or are about to become giants, it should be just about the right size. They make their older RAV4 look too small. Vehicle availability was somewhat limited, so they had to choose a fancier than normal model but were able to get much of that extra cost discounted. It looks like a great car to raise a couple of boys with. Being the Nightshade Edition, Anne has instructed Declan not to lick the paint.

In flinging news, pictured above is today’s latest art object. A rather ornate seven bowl set. My research indicates that although it is painted in a Chinese style and each bowl is stamped that it was painted in Hong Kong that this work is likely Japanese. It has been in the family forever, making its Japanese origin story plausible, being where we were first stationed in the far east. Selling this set would make for a good down payment on the Highlander.
