Anne in Birthday Blouse at the Laumeier Art Fair

Pictured is Anne in one of her birthday blouses. This one is from her parents. She is standing in front of some art, because she is at an art fair. The Laumeier Art Fair is held every Mother’s Day and ever since she first became a mother, she has been regularly attending it. In the early years, I would accompany her and run interference between the boys and the expensive and fragile artworks. That didn’t last long and then later, I would stay home with the boys, while Anne went to the art fair with Joanie, a sort of girl’s day out. Now that the boys no longer bear watching, I am available again to escort Anne to the art fair. Yesterday, it was a washout, but today the rain held off long enough to enjoy the fair. We got to see all of it. Afterwards we did a late brunch in Kirkwood. It is amazing how uncrowded the buffet line is an hour before closing. The rain came after we were home and then both boys called to wish her happy Mother’s Day!
