On Sunday, Maren jetted off to the Left coast. LA to be specific, for a conference. She was able to say goodbye to Declan, but for some reason Wyatt overslept and missed her departure. He seemed confused about just what happened afterwards. First up on the day’s agenda was Declan’s soccer practice. We all stood around cheering him on, while trying to keep Wyatt entertained. Practice was held on the grounds of a local school and afterwards we all walked around the building to a playground. Amazingly Wyatt kept up. It was a little scary watching him climb around while Declan and the other boys were bouncing around. Eventually, we adjourned to lunch at the Rising Eagle, a local establishment that has long been a favorite for David and Maren. Wyatt was able to demonstrate his love for Mac and cheese. Both to eat and to wear. Home again, then naps, which I took advantage of to do a grocery run. When I got back again everyone was up. Taking advantage of the last hour of daylight, we headed over to Stone Zoo. The mountain lions posed beautifully.
