Britt’s Canadian Adventure

Britt left today. Headed back to NYC and her baby, Inky. Because she flew out of Soo, Canada, Dan drove her across the International Bridge. Her first visit to our friendly neighbor to the north. The friendly neighborhood Canadian customs agent who welcomed her, could have starred on the Red and Green show. They had enough time before her flight to visit the old Canadian locks, -eh. Down by the Saint Marie’s rapids they found a multitude of beaver dams. After dropping her off, Dan returned to the cabin and set upon fixing the cabin’s deck. Sagging joists were leveled and its decking smoothed. To do this job, he borrowed the RAV4’s jack. Getting it out, he discovered the pictured bug. It is a male Rainbow Scarab Beatle. It was dead and there was no telling how long it had been in the car, since it is indigenous across the US. A pretty bug, especially for a dung beetle. It was a male. It has a horn and males are always horny.
