After days of gray leaden skies, we awoke today to mostly clear blue. The AQI is still 125, which is poor, but much better than it has been. Overnight, the Canadian wildfire smoke had departed. A wind shift is responsible. Along with its shift, the wind speed diminished enough to allow Dan to go sailing for the first time. He is seen here heading out with Britt and Victoria aboard. This was Victoria’s first and last sail, because she leaves today. Headed back to Saint Louis. The weather gods were not kind to her this summer, because except for her first and last day it was all smoke apocalypse. Tonight’s sunset should be grand. It wasn’t the smoke rolled in.
