Today, I wished my neighbor Art a Happy New Year. He responded with, “I did not know that the new year fell in May.” That is what the weather feels like, well almost, it is more April’s weather than May’s if you ask me. In addition to eschewing big boy pants in favor of shorts, I took the RAV4 to a Waterway carwash for a much-needed bath. Cleaning away a thousand miles of salt from it. Other projects included going to Menards for some cedar furring strips to repair the lattice beneath the back porch. I have put Anne in charge of preparing our new solar powered birdfeeder that is equipped with a wildlife camera for photographing birds. A gift from Dan and Britt. She has installed the app and is charging the camera’s battery now. It does not hold all that much food, so my bet is that it will run out of seed long before it runs out of juice. Below are a couple of DIY attempts that I made years ago, using a GoPro, also from Jay.
