Old man winter tightened its grip on us last night. It was cold when I got up this morning and it is expected to stay cold all day. In weather like this, there are parts of the house that are virtual no-go areas, at least without bundling up first. the basement for one. I ran a drip of water in the sink down there. No need for frozen pipes. In the days to come, it should warm up, but not fast enough for me.

Yesterday, trying to get some exercise, we went to the Heights, our community center/gym. Anne and I both did the treadmills. It felt good to move again. We had mostly avoided the inauguration until then, but there we were confronted with wall-to-wall TVs, and even with their sound off, their chyrons still screamed at us. Still, we will probably do it again today. Got to stay healthy.
