This was our last full day in Croatia. Early tomorrow morning we begin our long journey back home. Last night was a long and sleepless night, with the now vanquished Scottish footballers with the newly victorious Croatian ones. The Croats partied until dawn also. I was just drifting off to sleep when the PA system for today’s marathon cranked up. The runners ran pst the hotel. We barely made breakfast and crashed out onto the street with the marathon going full tilt buggy. This much energy called for another coffee. Stat! The weather was pleasant and we walked to the botanical gardens. Afterwards, we enjoyed a late lunch. Later we toured the Octagon, an eight sided 1901 mall, with a spectacular stain glass ceiling. Next we toured the Chocolate museum, lots of history and chocolate too. We will soon grab dinner before returning to the hotel, where we will pack.
