Oktoberfest began today, in Germany. Frank and Kathy are there now on holiday. Frank sent me these two videos commemorating the beginning of festivities with a parade. It is only mid-September, but that is OK, because there Oktoberfest lasts a month.

They had been in Italy and have moved north. The first video shows a marching band, with loud drums playing. While the second movie shows a team of Clydesdales pulling a beer wagon or should I say bier? The bells on the horses are also very loud and shrill.

Next week, we also leave for our European vacation. Our fitness instructor Amber worked with us on exercises yesterday that hopefully will help us stay sane in our seats for the 20+ hour of flights it will take to get there.
