Curly-Cue Cute—Declan!

Great weather, great bike ride, all furthering great plans ahead. We are in drought conditions now, but that is what sprinklers are all about. Right? Besides, no rain, means no excuses not to ride. Anne definitely outpaced me today. As I slunk back home, she continued to cruise on and on. As her reward she was able to see and snap a juvenile river otter after we parted ways. It was on the bike path, near the visitor’s center, which is not close to any water, in a park that has lots of water and begs the question, what was it doing there?

This post’s picture features the back of Declan’s head, with a Lomo effect overlaid. In this instance, Lomo was applied using Photoshop, but the effect’s origin comes from an old, cheap Russian camera called a Lomo. This camera would blur and darken the image around its edges and supersaturate the center. These are camera effects that modern cameras go to great lengths to avoid, but who can fight against Instagram?
