Hail No!

I’m Just a Little Black Wall Cloud, Pay No Attention to Me.

It was a dark and stormy day… It is high noon, and we have all our lights on. In the background, the TV is tuned to the storm channel, where the weatherman is warning everyone not to do stupid, “Go to your safe space! Do as I say, not as my other colleagues are doing. They are professionals. Don’t try this at home. ” We are in the lull before the storm. The rumble of distant thunder tells me that this cannot last. Earlier, one lone errant lightning bolt struck close by, flashing the sky and then rattling the windows. I guess it had gotten lost. Red radar boxes, signifying tornadoes, are marching from left-to-right, west-to-east, across our screens, but thankfully south of us. It looks like this wave will miss us, but there will be more. The day is still young though.
