Image a jumbo shrimp that wriggles free from a soaring pelican’s bill and falls to earth. As it falls, instead of going splat on the asphalt below, it bounces off a beach umbrella and lands in the nearby sand. Viewing this, a seagull swoops down to snatch it up, but seeing its newfound treasure, a flock of its brethren give chase. In the subsequent tussle one thing leads to another and the crustacean falls from the gull’s beak and is returned to the sea. I am not saying that is what is pictured here, but I am also not saying that it is not. I leave it to the reader to decide, to believe or disbelieve that which has been suspended before them.
