It is that time of year again. Today, I activated the WordPress snow plugin. This has always been one of my favorite widgets and is a prerenal feature of this blog. In the past it has only been available in December, but lately it has been going through some changes. First, you now need a premium subscription to use snowflakes. It used to be free to all users. Fortunately, I am already subscribed. Now there is a control panel that allows for extensive customization. Things, like size, shape and number of flakes. The widget is no longer limited to snowflakes. Icons and messages can be substituted. This opens up all sorts of possibilities. In this time of global warming and climate change, fake snow on this blog may have to do as a substitute for the real stuff.
