Monday was the pick day of the week, at least weatherwise. It has gotten warmer since then, but on that day everything was fine. We walked in Forest Park, which we had not toured since before our cross-country travels to California and New York. Since last, we had visited the park had transformed itself from early spring, with many of the trees not yet leafed out, to high spring, or maybe even early summer. We parked on Pagoda Circle, next to the Muny on its summer season’s opening night. Parking signs warned us that we had to be gone by five, because we were in the VIP parking space. There was still plenty of time to ramble about. We just needed to keep an eye on the clock. We saw lots of fauna and flowers, many of which will be coming to a blog near you. The butterfly is certainly colorful, but I really love its name the most.
Yes! Fritillary is my new word of the week.
Love it!
