I am now back in the Lou, while Anne is now in Ann Arbor. Yesterday, we left Monterey together. Even flying with each other as far as Salt Lake City, before we went our separate ways. I do not know when I will be able to join her there. I am stuck here, still wait on getting the car fixed. Neither the auto dealer nor my insurance company seem to be able to be able to communicate with each other and because what business that still needs to be conducted is between the two of them, everything is at a standstill. I also have a couple of other chores that are holding me in town, but they should be completed this week. Leaving getting the car repaired as the big outstanding item. In other news, I got a text from the pharmacy stating that I am eligible for yet another Covid vaccine booster and since it is still around and people, I know who are already vaccinated are still coming down with it, I figured better safe than sorry. Dave’s friend and best man Kennard made the news today for his part in winning a $3.25M lawsuit against Maplewood. As it turns out this neighboring town like so many others around the Lou, were running their own debtor’s prison, to fund the city government, basically what Ferguson had been doing. Good on him! Kennard, with his gentle and softspoken demeanor is making quite the name for himself as a civic activist here. Good thing, because there is no going back to Bed Bath & Beyond now.
