Season’s greetings! It is that time of year to take stock of 2021. It has been pretty good year and deserves to be recounted. It started off pretty slow, but in March we got vaccinated and then it was off to the races. In that first quarter, we began weight watchers to some success. We also began a continuous Scrabble tournament, in which Anne almost always wins. Anne completed the first of two quilts, one for our bed and the other for Dave and Maren.

Once fully vaxxed, we hit the road. Heading west along Route 66, we visited many national parks and monuments. We visited Frank and Kathy up in the mountains and then Dad and Chris in Monterey. David and Maren joined us there. Last summer was spent as per usual at the cabin, where Dan and Brit sailed their new yacht and much of the family joined us there. Our usual cabin tour was interrupted by two events, a side trip to Boston for Maren and Dave’s wedding shower and Harry’s selling of his house of forty-seven years.

In October, was the social event of the season, the marriage of Maren and David in upstate New York. This wedding was celebrated with family and friends and was a great party. Since that trip, we’ve been laying low. We got new and improved internet and I’m getting a new pair of eyes. We feel blessed with all of the good fortune that we have had and look forward to the future with optimism. Here is wishing you and yours a Happy New Year.
