Is this better? Or is this?

Minor surgery is when someone else is having it. Major surgery is when you are having it. We went to the ophthalmologist yesterday, for a pre-surgery consult. I’m going to have cataract surgery after Thanksgiving. First one eye and then the other. I have both kinds of cataracts in both eyes that I’ve inherited from both of my parents. My vision has deteriorated to the point that it is difficult for me to drive at night now. The process, including prep and post-operative treatment should last until Christmas, even if each eye’s surgery only lasts fifteen minutes. The end result of all of this is that when it is all done, my vision will be significantly improved. I might not even have to wear glasses anymore. I’ve opted for the more expensive toric lenses, which is why I am hopeful that my vision will be much better. I thought that my appointment would just be a conversation, but there were many tests that accompanied the talk.
