I-70 Through the Rockies

Today was a driving day. We drove through the mountains and across Colorado and landed in Moab, UT. We are camping tonight, in a family owned urban campground, RV free. Cottonwood snow is the main form of precipitation, although we did get a few drops too. Hardly enough to wet a fairy’s whistle.

On a lark, we veered off of I-70 at the Utah-Colorado state line. A town, Cisco was supposed to be there, but it had become a ghost. So, it was with some trepidation that we continued on. Especially, with the roadway signs that indicated this road’s imitate closure in a week. This was Utah 128, one of the top scenic roads in America. It was a detour well worth taking.

  1. Jailhouse Café is my only Moab restaurant rec. There was another place I liked, but can’t remember the name.
