Richard Mille Clock in Quebec City

Last summer we visited Quebec City, whose claim to fame is that of being the most European city in North America. This year we hope to make it across the pond and actually visit Europe. While in Quebec City we stayed at the Hotel Clarendon, which is situated across the street from city hall. This clock was in the plaza in-between the two buildings. Called the Jura clock, because Richard Mille hails from the Swiss canton of Jura, it was a gift to the City of Quebec on its 400th birthday. It is huge, it weighs two tons and has over 5,000 moving parts. It experienced some teething problems and so-called ticked-off some Canadian residents with its poor timekeeping. Something to do with weather extremes in Canada. I assume all is fixed with it now. It is fun to watch.
