I assume that’s from your Chicago trip? I have to say, the original, in the Louvre is stunning – breathtaking. It literally took my breathe away as I approached. It has some serious real estate — location, location, location. Approaching it was like walking toward a spiritual encounter or something.
oh! and if you watch the film The Rape of Europa (two thumbs way up) you learn more about it and what the French people did to protect Winged Victory and other art in the Louvre as the Nazis approached. Photos of them moving the statue take your breathe away in a different way — don’t break it! but hurry!!
