Tom Turkey

Tom Turkey

David and Maren rattled our frozen cage this weekend, beating the bush, looking for babysitters. There is a Memorial Day wedding that they would like to attend in South LA—North Tijuana—Sandy Eggo. They flushed two grandmothers. This call has also helped to firm up our plans for the first half of this year. We were already on the hook to visit Boston in March.  We are supporting Dave while Maren is on a work trip. We had planned on flying then, but now it looks like we will drive. I finally broke down and purchased an EZ-PASS for the tolls. This way, we can stop along the way, Philly and NYC are looking good. Our other planned big trip is to the west, with a visit with my dad and Chris. That trip is also only lightly sketched out at this point, we will leave the Loo in April, heading west along the border, and wind up our trip in time to get Anne on a plane to Boston from someplace.

The pictured tom was one of about a dozen turkeys that greeted us outside the zoo. We were on the southside, when we saw them. We had tried to enter the zoo from the south, but that entrance was closed, but we did get to see the turkeys.
