Autumn Crocuses

Yesterday, we went to the gardens for the second time in a week. The weather is hot, but it always seems cooler at the gardens. Last time, there were no crocuses, but this time there was a field full of them. The other unusual find was in the parking lot, a Wingnut tree. I could not tell if it was a right-wing nut or not. The other big news around here came from Monterey. The house has not sold. In fact, we had to lower its price. Hopefully, this will reinvigorate its sale.

Heat Wave

The weather has heated up again. It will continue to warm through the weekend, maybe hitting a hundred by Saturday. This means that we need to become more crepuscular. Rising early before the temperatures do and getting out later after the heat of the day. For a couple of people who have gotten used to left coast time, this may be difficult. Fortunately, the usual humidity has not accompanied this latest heat. We can still shut the AC off at night.
