Got up too early. Then headed out into the predawn mist. Drove straight through to Indiana and stopped at their new Indy 500 themed rest area. Pretty fancy as these things go. Newly opened this year. This place was worth the stop. It would have been nice to take this race car out for a spin, but I don’t think that it could have handle I-70’s awful pavement. In Indy proper traffic was terrible. Worse than when they closed 70 through downtown, a few years back. We soon ran into the cause of this congestion. They were transporting wind turbine blades. It took forever to pass them. Then I noticed that we were almost out of gas. Had to stop and let them pass us again.
