We’re going to the cabin! We’re going to the cabin! Oh, wait. Wrong bridge. Today, we left Monterey and headed to Mendicino. We are taking a break from estate management and visiting with Frank and Kathy at their Vrbo. We drove through San Francisco and then north from there. It was a long drive, but this is a great place. Right on the coast fifty feet from the sea cliff, at the bottom of which is the roiling sea. The place come complete with its own lighthouse.
The patio at Pattersons Pub was our go to place for meeting with friends when we were there in October.

I remember a very scenic (and very scary) drive around the roads of Mendocino, once, many years ago. I recall eating lunch at a lovely restaurant before crossing back across the Golden Gate. It was all memorable, a very special area. Thanks for reminding me.
