Stone Zoo

Stone Zoo Flamingo

In the face of a gale, we went to Stone Zoo. Living a mile from the bay, David said that they get a lot of gales. So many that they often go unnoticed. Still, it is an ill wind that blows no good and this wind brought with it warmer temps, with a high near sixty. We got to the zoo when it opened, which is way better than when it is closing. We have done that too. Even though most of the enclosers sported signs warning that their occupant was not inside due to cold weather, today most of them were full. Declan looked at the animals that were easy to see and ignored those that were in hiding. He spent most of his time running around. It was a good thing that Dave was there to help catch him. Three other kids from daycare were also spotted at the zoo today. After the zoo, we went to a nearby diner for brunch. In addition to everything else, they served fried potatoes, Declan’s favorite food by far.
