Under the sea, darling it’s better, down where it’s wetter, under the sea…
We went to the zoo yesterday. The highlight of our visit was certainly the sea lions. They get a little lonely in January and when someone comes along who wants to play, I would say that if the room does not go wild, it becomes at the least semidomesticated. Anne and a pair of sea lions played together for a while, under the sea. She would toss a glove up into the air and they would dart at it. One of them would open its mouth as if to bite it through the glass. They were quite attentive to her. Anne was imitating similar behavior that we had witnessed a little girl preform years ago. This went on until Anne got bored with the game and then it was time for us to surface again from under the sea.
