Digging Out

Yesterday, we began digging out, mainly, because today, Anne had a doctor’s appointment. That occurred earlier this morning and I drove her to the doctors. The GIFs are from when Anne was digging out the car. I had been shoveling the walk and got as far as the sidewalk, before I gave up. Our sidewalk and most other peoples too are still covered today and with the forecasted freezing temperatures, are likely to remain that way for some time to come. One neighbor had a snow blower, but he did not seem particularly interested in helping us. I finished first and then came over to see what Anne had been doing. I tried talking her into posing for a picture, but she would not have any of that and began flicking snow at me with her ice scrapper. She got so upset about it that she slipped in the snow, lost her balance and fell over backwards onto the ground, disappearing from me behind the car. I ran around the car to see if she was alright and found her making snow angels on the ground. She had landed in deep powder and was unharmed. Having gotten these two shots, I decided to bag the whole snow shoveling gig and went back inside.
