Check-in opens in 145 days, 2 hours, 33 minutes… We have managed to book our flights to Croatia! Mostly. There are still a few loose ends to tie up, but we still have plenty of time yet. It will require three flights there and three flights back and upwards of 20+ hours of air travel each way. Maybe I should have sprung for the extra leg room? We will land in Split and have a few days to Europeanize, before the biking begins. Then a week of biking and sailing down the Dalmation coast to Dubrovnik. After the tour we will boat back to Split, bus to Zagreb and then fly home.

Two weeks plus of travel. No car rental, but lots of public transportation and a lot to learn before we go. For example, it turns out, our new wheelie bags are not welcome in Dubrovnik’s old town. We will have to carry them there. We still have some auxiliary tours to book and rooms to reserve, but there is still time.
