Yesterday, I saw this guy rolling along, as I was walking back from the polls. I have seen him around before, riding his bright yellow trike, with a multitude of flags trailing behind him. He lives in the neighborhood. I do not know where exactly, but I have an idea. He is certainly something that you do not see every day. I suspect that he was headed to The Heights, where I had just come from, because I have seen him there a couple of times before. Maybe he was going to vote or maybe he was going to work out or both. Yesterday, I first saw this guy about a block away. This gave me time to step behind a tree, get out my phone and then as he passed by snap this photo. I think that I surprised him.
I did not want to speak with him, but if I did, I would ask him why. Why does he parade around like this every day? I would likely get some gobbledygook answer though. He’s obviously a true believer, and I’m not a member of his cult.
There is still more than six months to go until the November election and a lot could happen in that time. I doubt that he will convince many people to his way of thinking, especially in my solidly Democratic neighborhood. I am amused by the thought that like me, Cori Bush is his congressperson too. I can only imagine what kind of lightening rod that fact acts for him.
wow
Wow is right. He is everywhere. I saw him again at the grocery store. Thank goodness there is only one of him.
