Landed in Ann Arbor last night just after five. Checked into the Regent Hotel first. We managed to snag a room upgrade, from just a room to a suite. Anne ordered Cottage Inn pizza, which we picked up in Ypsi. With food in hand, we made it to Harry’s place by six. Jane showed up a moment later and then two moments after that the dam burst, the heavens opened, and the rain came. Wind scattered the patio furniture, making one of the managers to have to come out in the storm and pull down the umbrellas, before they blew away. Finally, the storm knocked out the power, forcing us to eat our pizza by “candlelight.” The power eventually came back on, before the shadows lengthened to long.
