The Hunter Becomes the Hunted

Harried Bald Eagle

We had just started to walk the beach, when we heard an intense racket directly above us. Looking up, we both saw a mature Bald eagle being harried and chased by a flock of seagulls and one crow. I suspect that the eagle had made a run at one of these birds and its attack failed. The hunter soon became the hunted. Less maneuverable than the smaller birds the lumbering eagle was doing its best to avoid the smaller bird’s attacks. This time the eagle’s attack was a failure and the bord payed the price for its failure, but it will surely try again.
