We are pretty much unpacked now, except what we’ve already repacked for our next trip. I got the lawn mowed. This year’s chosen lawn service was a disaster. They never mowed the lawn while we were gone. Our kind neighbor took mercy on us and mowed the front yard once, while we were gone. The front yard still looked pretty good, but the unmowed backyard was a jungle. My mower nearly choked on the tall grass. I also weeded the poison ivy in the front yard, which also was rather overgrown. Anne and I installed the window unit air conditioner upstairs and did some last-minute tidying up. All of this domesticity was in preparation for our expected house guests, CRAB.
