Crawford Arch

Crawford Arch, Zion – A Rock Bridge

This natural stone arch is located high up on one of the cliffs in the Zion Canyon. Named for the settler who “discovered” it, it was formed in a crack between the rocks, when the softer underlying stone eroded away. Looking up at it, the angle does not afford a very good perspective of the structure, so I’ve included the following historical photo to give a better sense of scale.
