Ruth Bader Ginsburg (1933-2020)

The Supreme Court

A Jewish teaching says those who die just before the Jewish new year are the ones God has held back until the last moment because they were needed most and were the most righteous. And so it was that #RBG died as the sun was setting last night marking the beginning of Rosh Hashanah. —Nina Totenberg

Now all the world will get to see what a hypocrite Mitch McConnell really is, as he flip-flops from his 2016 position, where he claimed that in the last year of a president’s term, Supreme Court nominations should wait until after an election and let the people’s voice be heard. What he didn’t say was that his rule only applies to Democrats and not Republicans. He is proving himself even more craven than even I had believed he was. If he and all of the his other Republican gangsters do not meet justice in this world, then they will certainly pay for their misdeeds in the next. I hope they go to hell!

We are at last beginning to relegate to the history books the idea of the token woman. —Ruth Bader Ginsburg
