I See It So Much More Clearly Now

Today, I successfully ran my doctors gauntlet. I had three appointments, dentist (teeth cleaning), primary physician (annual checkup) and eye doctor (glasses). I’ve been poked, peeked at and bleed. Apparently, bleeding is still a thing. Who knew? Nowadays though, they bleed you into little test tubes. To add insult to injury, I had to pay for all of this mistreatment. Still, I survived and should be good for at least another year. Next year, I’ll be on Medicare and will have then obtained full geezer status and in years to come make today’s round of doctor appointments an almost everyday occurrence. So much to look forward to, not.
