Not Pleased

I tried, but I can’t hold back the flood waters any further. The dam has got to burst. I’ve had too much of this government shutdown to tolerate.

“This country isn’t ran by just one individual it’s ran by four branches, but three branches that are in control of this,” Mullin said Tuesday. “As long as those three branches control it, then we all have to figure out how to negotiate. Not all of us is going to get 100% of what we want, but we should do what’s right.” – Rep. Markwayne Mullin, (R-OK)

I can’t even criticize the content of this speech, because I can’t even get through his grammatical and governmental errors. I’m still debating which of these sins is the worst.

“I need my paycheck. That’s the bottom line” – Rep. Renee Ellmers (R-NC)

Don’t we all Renee, don’t we all.

The following was an exchange between Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX) and an unnamed National Park Service Ranger outside the WW II memorial in DC.

Neugebauer: “How do you look at them and… deny them access?”
Ranger: “It is difficult, I’m sorry, sir.”
Neugebauer: “The Park Service should be ashamed of themselves.”
Ranger: “I’m not ashamed”
Neugebauer: “You should be”

Neugebauer retreated after the attendant crowd turned against his bullying.

“We’re not going to be disrespected. We have to get something out of this. And I don’t know what that even is.” – Rep. Marlin Stutzman (R-IN)

I guess this is why we are where we are, but why is that again? Was it all about Obamacare, deficit spending or what?

“He’ll negotiate with terrorists overseas, but he won’t negotiate with Speaker Boehner.” – Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX)

Do you really want to be comparing yourselves to radical mullahs?

“The moon might be as intimidating as Obamacare.” – Ted Cruz (R-TX)

Lunatic!

“There are not the votes in the House to pass a clean CR.” – John Boehner

Worse than lunacy

“We’re not going to pass a clean debt limit increase.” – Boehner

F-ing unbelievable!

  1. Great picture and I’m sure your sentiments are shared by many if not most! I can see that Anne is still quilting… maybe some pix of her work?
