The Monterey Bay Aquarium is the best aquarium that I have seen, in my humble opinion. I’ve been to the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. It is certainly the best aquarium in the Midwest. The New England Aquarium in Boston is impressive, with its four-story ocean tank. Seattle has a nice aquarium and San Diego has Seaworld. I haven’t been to the National Aquarium in Baltimore, but really now, even Saint Louis has a better zoo than the National Zoo.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium has a wide and varied collection of jellyfish. The backlit picture of them with this post is indicative of the aquarium’s displays. My mom once arranged for a behind the scenes tour of the aquarium. I can still remember peering down into the dark waters of the large outer bay tank. Leaning over, all the while knowing the contents of the tank below.
Pooh and Kayak women have been going back and forth about KW’s new kitchen tile work plans. Anne asked me to dig up a picture of the tile work in my parent’s guest bathroom. The picture to the left shows a bit of the bathroom’s counter top. It is both bright and colorful.
After Sunday’s visit to the gardens, Anne and I sat down and watch the football playoff games. We didn’t really care much either way about the Colts-Jets game, but we were disappointed to see the Vikings Brett Favre loose to the Saints. We were rooting the old guy. I don’t know who we will root for in the Superbowl, but I guess we have two weeks to decide.
Monday morning dawned all too early and while I was getting ready for work, I was grousing. I was going back to work after only a one-day weekend and Anne was getting ready to enjoy her third day of weekend. Then the phone rang. It was the substitute scheduler, calling unusually late. Anne had work for the day and I secretly felt better. I hope that she doesn’t read this. 😉
Monday night on the way home from work, I swung by Ron’s place for some pizza and blog advice. Ron supplied the pizza and I supplied the advice. Ron’s blog is in my links, but here it is again. I think that I got the better part of that deal. Speaking of blog advice, I got a nice comment from Slam-Dunk on Monday. Ron, check out his blog. He seems to be doing this blogging thing better than me.
