Yesterday, was a warm, windy day. To get out and stretch our legs a little, we headed off to the garden. This warm spring day brought out more than just flowers blooming and birds chirping. It also brought out many St. Louisans. We tried parking in the garden’s lot, but it was full. Giving up on that idea, we left with changed plans of visiting neighboring Tower Grove Park. Only, once outside the gate, we snagged a spot. Oh, joy! Finally, inside the garden, we spied plenty of blooms and birds too. Unusually, on the water in the Japanese garden, we saw Shovelers and Blue Winged Teals. Probably, passing through. Anne’s Merlin app was finding many more species than we could hope to see.
We are pretty much settled in at home again. One thing that we do need to do is sync up our calendars. Writing appointments on the wall calendar in the kitchen does you no good, when you are out of state. Spring here is in full bloom, well ahead of the east coast. It is at this time of year, that my thoughts turn to gardening and general yard maintenance. Right now, the yard is a sea of mud and likely to remain so, for some time to come, but eventually, it will dry out and following that lawn care comes to mind. Before I go much further here, I should formulate a plan and then get that plan approved by the boss. Let me simply say that I am now placing a stake in the ground.
