What started out with an errand today, that evolved into so much more. Anne needed professional help on a cushion that she is making for her father. She found a place on Watson. They did the work while we waited. We were on our way again in minutes. While we were out-and-about thoughts turned to lunch. We headed to the Hill and Pizzeria da Gloria. We shared one of their caramelized onion and asiago Saint Louis style specialty pizzas. As expected, it was good. Our next stop was the gardens. We eschewed the orchid show for another day. The Climatron had reopened after a couple of weeks of tree trimming. It was definitely brighter under the triple canopy. Then we got outside and walked around the Japanese gardens, which were still snow covered but melting fast on this first day in a week of above freezing temperatures. It is there that we saw the witch hazel. Always hardy, harkening of spring to come, these intrepid flowers are always the first to bloom. Hang on! Spring is coming.
