Our bags are unpacked. The mailed has been sorted. The frig is restocked. And Anne has booked a flight to Boston. She needs to be the baby whisperer again. It was a nice summer, while it lasted, which we did not spend much in Saint Louis. Hot! Hot! Hot! The heat here has abated. The neighborhood hum of AC units has quieted. Only to be replaced with the quieter hum of fans, but even those fell silent this morning, after last night’s rain really cooled things down. It is going to be a nice day.
